Christmas Celebrations!

Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. We had a wonderful time at my parents house. The kids and I spent the night before Christmas Eve at their house so we could help out with the Christmas Eve dinner the next day. My kids totally enjoyed sleeping over at grandmas' house.. haha. So much so that they asked to do it again! This weekend =)

The kids posing in front of the tree!

Only a few more days till the new year. Any goals/ resolutions in the works? I'd love to hear them! For me, i'm hoping to be more active and eat healthier. For the crafty dept. I'd like to start and finish a year in my daughters' scrapbook. I think i have enough papers to work with.. hahaha

thanks for stopping by!

Kids Birthdays

So last week we celebrated both my kids birthdays. My son is Dec 7 and my daughter is Dec 11. It made sense to do it on one day instead of two. Well at least for now when they are young, but i'm pretty sure they will want thier own party with their own friends as they grow older.

Here are some pics =)

 They are 5 and 4.

Sometimes they can be normal and pose without moving!

Birthday cakes! One for each, since one of them does not eat fruits!

Smiling for the camera before they blow out the candles!

We went out for dinner beforehand then we came back home for cake and presents.
Only 6 days left til Christmas!! Are your decorations up? Presents all shopped and wrapped? I have 1 last gift to get, i'm hitting the mall on Tuesday as my hubby is not working, so maybe i'll get him to watch the kids =)
Have a great week!

Busy kinda weekend...

The weather has been getting kinda nippy lately!
We've had frost the last few nights. We might just get a white Christmas!

Sorry I haven't been keeping up to date on blogging. My son got the sniffles and coughs, which he passed on to his sister and this time around i caught the bug too!  First time i've been really sick this year. =(
Happy to say we are all doing better now. Just in time for their birthdays too! ;D
This year we are just going out with family to celebrate thier birthdays and then having cakes at our house afterwards. ( we are going tonight!)

My daughter has 1 week left before winter break, so we started making some Christmas cards for her classmates. Heres a card i made for her teacher.

Paper by Simple Stories and some bakers twine.

Hope everyone is keeping warm! Thanks for stopping by =)

Christmas Gift Tags

Christmas is only 1 month and 2 days away!
This year i think i'm on top of things, no more last minute shopping for moi =)

Here are some quick and easy gift tags i made with  Echo Parks Holly Jolly Christmas.
Seriously this is my go to Christmas paper this year! hehe

The kids are excited for their  birthday and we need a place to put all their presents, so i think the tree is going up this weekend! I'll post a picture once its up.
One more night till we get crazy and do some Black Friday shopping, i'm making a list in case i forget something. Hoping to finish the gift shopping this week.

To those celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, have a wonderful day with your loved ones.

Merry and Bright

Wow, its a cold and windy night tonight! At least there isn't snow around here! =)
Right now a nice cup of tea sounds good.
To continue on with my Christmas cards.
Here is card #3: Merry and Bright
(sorry the pic is a little slanted, lol )

I used Holly Jolly Christmas by Echo Park again.
Seriously, i can make a tons of cards with this line! I love them.
I added some twine and some tear drop i-rock from Imaginisce.

I got some more Christmas shopping done. Yay!
My sister is watching the kids while hubby and I sneak across the border for some BF shopping!
(really, we're not sneaking in. We have Nexus, which makes crossing the border a lot quicker, though i'm not sure that will be the case come Thursday/Friday!)

I'm sure those of you celebrating Thanksgiving will have tons to share.
I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!

My 1st Christmas card of the Year.

Christmas is just around the corner, just under 6 weeks actually! This year i'm going to start making my Christmas cards early, ( as well as do some early Christmas shopping!)

Card #1 :  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Papers are from Simple Stories- 25 Days of Christmas. I had never heard of them before, but i love their papers!

I know most of you are getting ready for the US Thanksgiving then its on to Christmas. For us in Canada we are heading straight for Christmas mode =).
I have a couple of friends that have thier Christmas tree and stockings already up! Too early? What do you think? When do you get your tree and decorations up?
We usually get our tree up around the first week of December. My kids birthdays are in December (7 & 11) so all their presents go under the tree and its like a whole month of presents for them! LOL... they love it.

Hope you're all having a great Monday! Its cold and windy here in BC.

November already!

How was everyones Halloween yesterday?
We had a fun time at my daughters Halloween party at school.
Here are some pictures:

Arriving at school with her brother.

Digging for some bugs, skulls and rats among other things!

                                          Decorating a pumpkin cookie.

Crafting project. I think it was a jack-o-lantern door hanger.

                                           Halloween Bingo!

Ready to go trick-or-treating!  Spidergirl and Black Spiderman!

Hope everyone had a great night, it was quite chilly last night. My sister and i took the kids out around the neighbourhood. We came back in 45mins later because it was so windy! Although, the kids did make a good hauling of candy =)

I'm excited its November already. That means Christmas is right around the corner. This year i'm going to try to start my Christmas shopping early! haha... we'll see how that goes. Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet?

thanks for stopping by!

2 Layouts

Heres a rare treat! I haven't really gotten into scrapbooking pages. But i have so many great 12 x 12 pages that i think i'm going to try to make some more layouts this year/ next year.

First one i have is way back in 2007. Yes, i'm so behind.... haha. My little one was a baby chickie!
Papers from DCWV ( calendar kit)
Stickers: Sticko

Second, i combined 2 photos from 2008 and 2010.
Kaida loves dressing up in pretty dresses. Her Princess Ariel costume from a few years back still gets worn every other day! =)
Papers: DCWV-  the All About Girls Stack
             Basic Grey
Others: Foam thickers, Imaginisce i-rock, twine.

Anyone dressing up for Halloween? We've been invited to my daughters kindergarten Halloween Party. I will definitely be taking my camera with me!

A Card or 2!

Hello!
Summer is slowly winding down here, not that we got much of a summer =(
It was rain and cloudy and cool weather! Which i'm sure some of you would've loved to have in your sweltering summer heat.

Anybody who has kids knows its almost that time of year again. Back to school! or in my case, a first timer. My little girl Kaida is heading to kindergarten. I can't believe the time has flown by so fast. She just had her vaccines/immunizations today and got her regular check-up. Shes a whopping 40lbs.. hahhaa.

Hope your end of summer/beginning of fall days are going great so far.

2 cards for you today. One is another Thank you card. Seems you can never have enough of these on hand =)

The second is another Birthday Card. My friends baby boy turned 1!
I used some smooch ink, on the embossed letters, but the lighting is not so good it didn't really show up... ooops!

What are you looking forward to this fall?

thanks for dropping by!
